Patriots’ Path has joined with RMS Communications Group to recycle old cell phones. There is no cost for your unit to participate – nothing to buy and nothing to sell !!!

HOW IT WORKS
1) Collect any and all idle cell phones from:

  • Friends and family

  • Neighbors – door to door

  • Co-workers – put a small collection box in the lunch room, by the water cooler, at your desk

  • As often during the year as you want. Typically September and January have the best results.

  • RMS estimates that an average September and January collection will result in 10-12 phones per scout.

    • 2) Go to http://bsa.onlinedonationcenter.com/

    3) Check out the entire website, but go to the tab for Unit Login & Shipping. Username = patriot, Password = phones

    4) RMS will ship to you, free of charge, boxes to return the collected cell phones in. To order your free shipping boxes, click on Order Supplies at the top of the page.

    5) Fill in the information under "USPS 25 Count Boxes" and click on submit. This will generate an order to RMS to ship you 25 boxes which you can use to ship back the cell phones. When you are ready to ship, you can come back to this tab, and click on Print Priority Box Label to print the prepaid postage address label.

    Within 45 days from the receipt of the cell phones, RMS will issue a check to your unit for your share of the proceeds. Your unit and Patriots’ Path Council will share equally, 50/50 in the proceeds. As unit coordinators for this many change frequently, the current plan is that all checks will be make payable to “the unit” and returned to Patriots’ Path Council for delivery.

    ORDER FREE DOOR HANGERS FOR PROMOTION
    You can also order free door hangers to assist in your unit's collection efforts. They can be customized with anything Scouting related on the back: Unit information, Scouting for Food information, Recruiting information, etc.

    1) Go to http://bsa.onlinedonationcenter.com/

    2) Go to the tab for Unit Login & Shipping. Username = patriot, Password = phones

    3) Click on Order Supplies at the top of the screen.

    4) Fill out the form on the left under the heading "Door Hangers." RMS will send Door Hangers for free to the address you provide.

    *any make and model will be accepted. Please no accessories, just the cell phone. The phones have a potential recycle value of $1.00 up to $150.00, with the average return of $3.00 - $10.00 per phone.
